Goodbye Post :)

This year being a year 8 in Room 19 has been a successful year for me.It has being a grat year spending time with my friends and our lovely teacher Miss Tito. Miss Tito has been a great Teacher this whole year, when I hit college she will always Miss T will be at the back of my Mind tell me to finest your Work!

Next year when the year eights move to different school all of the boys and girls going to be split up,also all of my close friends are going to be going different colleges. This going to be the last time that I'm going to see my close friends that I grew up with at Pt England school.

I would like to say a big farewell to all my favourite teachers and also my principal Mrs Burt and to a;; the staff, I would like to say thank you to all the teachers that help me with my learning and also telling me that I was a smart kid and also telling me that I was funny kid .

Next year its going to be weird because my friends aren't going to be there. Its going to be a bit scary because its going to be new school and I don't know what its going to be like at my new school. Next year I want to have a good class and good mates to hang out with.

What I will be missing about this school when I leave is going to be the teachers and my friends..

Camp

Recently we went to Keswick christian camp in Rotorua for our year eight camp, when we were getting ready to leave school Mr Burt was talking to us about having the best attitude and acting the pt England way. As we were leaving on the bus everyone was waving out to the teachers out the window and getting ready for a long drive.

When we were driving along the way to Rotorua we stop at a park so that we can have lunch and also have a little bit of fresh air,so we got back into our sets and get ready for another long ride before we get to Keswick christian camp.

When we got to the campsite we all jump out of the bus with excitement and enthusiasm just wanting to go throw our stuff into our cabins and to try out our beds. In our Cabins there were five to six people in one cabin. As we all thought that we were just stay in our cabins Mrs Nua blew the whistle to tell us that we will all be going on a never bush walk.     

During our camp we did a lot sightseeing around Rotorua like going to see amazing things like

watching the geyser exploded into smoke. As we were still sightseeing we shot off to the campsite to unload our stuff then we jump back into the bus to go the pools.

on the last day we went for a ride on the luge and on the sky lines when we got in the skylines it was like we were floating in air. When we were at the top of the mountain we went to the luge for a hard ride down. As we were going down the hill everybody was nearly crashing in to the side of the barrier. Then when we finished we headed back to school.

Reselection

Connecting to the internet this year with my Netbook. A few days ago when I was at home I was was thinking what to cook for dinner, So I opened up my Netbook and went on Google to find out a good chick recipes to cook for my family.

When I was working on Math Whizz I came along to answer witch i could work out so I opened up a new tab and type in my? and I end up find it.

My special thing that I've learnt from my wonderful Teacher I have learnt more Te re Maori and hot to be purple cow witch mean out of the box. She also taught me grate things like been more conformities.

The Internet has help me with a lot of things like going on youtube asking for help with Maths and stuff.

I have learnt that Rotoura smells like egg.

With my friends I have leant  from them is how to play  games and how to open Google docs.

Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela was born on july 18 1918 he grew up in a small village.Rolihlahla Mandela at Mvezo in the Transkei,his parents were Nosekeni Fanny and Gadla Hephakanyiswa. Nelson Mandela had 9 siblings.

Rolihlahla Mandela went to a local Mission school in his Home village Mvenao,When he received and educations to Clarkebury to boarding school Institute for his Junior Certificate. Then he went to a secondary school which was called Wesleyan.  When Rolihlahla Mandela was still in school he came a long to a teacher who called him Nelson because the teach couldn't pronounce his name properly. 


In 1962 Mandela was arrested and charged with high treason along with his collaborators. The Rivonia Trial, as it came to be known would turn Mandela into a symbol of the struggle against apartheid. 

In 1990 nelson Mandelawas finally released from jail, But he still thought against the white to get equal rights. He was Elected by Parliament as the  first president of a democratic in South Africa. Then he launched his autobiography long walk to freedom
.What i learnt from nelson mandela was to treat people respectfully weather they are the same color as you or not. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Three Highlights at school.

1. Rugby League: The reason why I enjoyed League this year because I scored 1 or 2 tries my first try was under the goal post, I also enjoyed  working as a team playing hard working together as one. Especially to our wonderful conch Miss V thanks for  a good day.

 2. Fifia has been another Highlight of my years at Pt England school, because I was in the Maori group  we opened the night for the Fifia night. Our Maori group did very good because  we all put our heats in , our performances was awesome.

3. I really enjoy watching the production because some kids from my class was in it the did shuch a grate job in there performances.

Shark finning Banned in New Zealand

Minister Nick Smith made the announcement on a Wellington beach over the weekend.To ban people from swimming  New zeland waters under New Zeland goverments rule.

Dr Smith said sharks might not be as cuddly as kiwi people say or as just cute like dolphins. But they are very importance in parts of the world , they are one of the marine diversity.

There Are over a 113 different specially sharks around New Zealand .Well the government is still working on the propes of the sharks being a third to the all the people.

What's going on in our world?

In the Eastern part of India there was a Massive cyclone threat to eastern part of India .Over in the eastern India half of Million people have being evacuated form their homes due to the power of the cyclone.

The Cyclone has being named  the Phailini.

Around ten thousand people died and also a few hundreds OF huts got rip into people their was a massive storm had struck India also,strong hit of of sea water washed away ten thousand of mud and roof huts from peoples house that they made.

 With the the worlds warmest hot spot of water the Indian world famous Ocean is in considered to the cyclone witch is the hot spot.

My Holiday

This Morning we had 40min to write about anything we wanted. from the us we are going to set some writing goals for this term .  Here is what i wrote.

During the holidays my Mate birthday was coming up he invited me to go Parkia spring hot pools and also camping up there for a whole week. The bro was turning 16 or 15 well  that day.Anyways we went and pick up some of the other boys from there house Then we shot off  like a flying speedy car down to Parkia hot pools for the week.

When when we fanily got to the campsite we jumped out of the car and stricht our bodies out and got some fresh air. The bros and I went for a walk around the area of the campsite and saw this good looking girls smiling at Me. Fifteen minutes later Louie mum called  all of us to connote up the 10 man tent together.

After all that hard work  of connect the ten man tinit we unloaded had to the cars of our camping stuff and also our swimming gear. It was super hot that day the  sun was blazing hot and,”I said the the boys that Its time for a swim”, “They reply Yoooooo thats Us boys bomb time ahah” The bro Max and  I was popping them V bombs at the pools next mint.

GTA 5

This week my dad is going to finest off my payment at the warehouse. I'm hopeful my dad has bought my game today I pray that he has go it today the game I'm getting is (GTA grand theft auto 5). This week I'm gone be playing it all this week even at night time i am hopeful I don't fall a sleep on bed then end up on the floor.

This Game was just release last night at mid night around 12:00 clock. Grand theft auto is a very famous game around the world because of its graphics and it gaming. GTA took around tow or three year too make there maps are huge as and there also new people on the game.

 This week is gone be my game day if my dad had got my game. My uncle and I are going to be playing this game all day and all  night to clock this game. The maps on Gta is gone be a mission to get threw it.

Im Super happy that my game has finaily came out its being like three year sents ive play this game.The last time I play GTA was when I was like ten or eleven.

Martin Luther the King

Walking united to the Lincoln Memorial we were peacefully singing. cheerfully and proudly waiting for Martin Luther King to announce what was going on, Martin words where “ I have a dream”  he wanted his people to be treated equally and his people not having to give up a seat for white people. That black people can go to the same school as white people and the black have the same funds as the white people.  

Rainbow Warrior

One cloudy night just before midnight two suspicious men were on a zodiac boosting around the harbour bridge towards Marsden wharf near the Ferry Building in down town Auckland. Meanwhile the people from Greenpeace were on their ship the Rainbow Warrior having a celebration for the director of the anti nuclear movement.

y on top deck there were a lot of people up there, there were two French guys who looked suspicious and they were wearing scuba gear.The French were planning to plant limpet bombs on the bottom of the boat.

Well the Rainbow warrior was still having a party there was a MASSIVE Explosion!!!!! down in the engine room depart the ship it going to blow up bomb  bomb 4 second later Bomb boom goes the next bomb  go off.

As the ship explodes sadly the photographer, Fernando Pereira has passed away in the bombing of the rainbow warrior ship.

Cross Country

This week On Thursday the 22th was our school  cross country. Our cross country went by 1/2 year old kid then to the 3/4 and for year old boys and girls race then next the 5/6 boys and girls, then the 7/8 boys and girls.

 For our cross country we all lined up in our age group, and sat down in our team lines. Our house captains Were James and Alex for Mataua, My house colour was Green for Mataua there was also other colours too blue, red, yellow. Next was the little kids race the ran around the half of the Pt England reveres.

Mr Burt said ( Gett ...... Set...... Go!!!!) and all the little kids hit the bost down the filed and into the revere.  I said to my mate Tana we will come first hopeful but in the heat I said to him lol When it was our ran Tana and I ran together as a team.

Mr Burt Called the 7/8 over to do there ran, he said On your  mark..... get... set gooo!! And we all ran for our life like we were getting chased by a big as tihger so we all ran for it to see who would come first. Tana and I were taking our time during the ran but at least we did it Tana and I  had a race on the second lap and I beat him by a little bit.

A Movie about love

My Movie was about Love. My Movie was most about love and asking the little Kids question about love. 

The most positive thing about my group was working with the little kids and doing a bit of work with them and also cooperative with the little kids  in Room 9 and talking to them about love and asking them question about love.

The most negative thing was that our little group of  people were marking around and not doing what I said. In our Movie we had to cut a few seeing out because the minke was off and that camera wasn't work problem.

Once upon a time there were three evil little pigs and a big good wolf. The three pigs owned houses. A straw house (the little pigs) a hay house (medium pigs) and a brick house (large pigs house). The smallest pig tried to set the wolf by telling him to come in and to blow down his hay house cause the pig said it was old and it needed to come down. But the pig planned to set him up so that he would get insurance.

Next the little pig took him to his brothers house made out of sticks. the little pig secretly told his older brother all about his plans to get insurance. Then the pigs told him to blow the stick house down to because it was old and broken. So the wolf huffed and puffed and blew his house down.  

When he was done blowing down his house the brothers took the wolf to their oldest pigs brick house.When they got there they told the oldest pig their plan to get insurance. All the brothers told the wolf to go and blow it down so the wolf huffed and puffed and blew and blew and blew but the house didn’t fall down.

The pigs got so angry that they decided to invite the wolf inside the brick house and murder him and burn down the house and say it was the wolf that did it and that they only killed him because they tried to kill them.So they did it and said to the police that the pig blew all our houses down and that they killed him in defense.

Going to the Doji

League

For the past few weeks Every Thursday room 19 have being go to rugby league. In league you have to stand up and play the ball but in Rugby Union you have to play in n the ground.

To begin our league we had to a do a quick warm up just playing touch with the rugby ball then we got straight into our league. We first learnt how to kick a ball to our partners then we got to the passing then we got to learn how to punt the ball in our kicking. At the end of our league season we said our goodbyes and went back to class we all had a grate time doing league hopeful we get to do it again.   

A little Narrative

It was hard been in the competition every term my team had to go up against a nave team it was dressfuel for my team. We were Making banana and chocolate sandwiches for our on tray.

My partner and I made Banana and chocolate sandwiches. My partner and I made a super health sandwich  we cut up the bananas and yous some dark chocolate to add flavour in it.

The judges had a good think about my teams sandwich?  My team and I were waiting for a good result the team were panicking they thought that we have to leaf the competition. I had hope that we would make it to the finale, well we end up getting a no sorry team you have not be accepted.  

My team felt a little sad but it wasn't the end of the day for us. The team and I walk out the wines in the hart though.

Reading Reflectio

I  think that the author is good because he tell it way better then the movie in the book it had way more information then the movie even though the movies is better but the book helps you understand things in it.

I like this story because it has a great taste in the book. Whale Rider is like a lifetime when i read it it reminds me of a little person that I yous to know. During the book i've been reading it has a nice storyline to it.

Fun Run

During the last past week the 7/8 have been training for our Fun Run at the end of the Term. At the end of the Term the 7/8 are doing 5k Fun Run for the fun run you can dress up in a funny type of costumes.

I cant wait till Fun run im really excited to do the fun run  and dress up in funny costumes its going to be a hilarious day with all our friends and some teachers.

During the fun run Im gonna try my best in it hopefully its going to be a nice sunny day. Fun Run should be a lot of fun and a good way to end the term.

Will I Am

A few weeks ago on a wet Morning someone famous came to our school he was from the (BLACK EYE PEA) and his name was Will I Am he came to donate $100,000.00 to go to every   

manaiakalani education trust around Glen Innes and Panmure schools.

Well I didn't really know who was coming because I was at Kapa haka we had lunch early like around 10:30. We Were performed for our special guest well as the hip hop group was performed just after we were.  

As WIll I Am came to our school the Kapa Haka did a performance for him Will I Am was amazed I think of our Kapa grupe .. After we did our performance  we went to go set down at the back of the hall with the rest of our school, after that the Hip Hop were on their performance was very amazing.  

After Will I Am did his speech Pt England School did our school song. Will I Am got a very special gift from our schools around  Glen Innes and Panmure schools. I thought Will I Am Was going  to do a Performance? But he didn’t but that all right we didn’t mine.

My Reading reflection On Whale Rider

This book is set in whangara, on the East coast of New Zealand, Where Paike is and her tipuna (ancestors) are.

For the past week I've been reading a book called the Whale Rider. Whale Rider has a lot of information in the book, first of all in the book it talks about the Whales then go along to the characters.

I’m up to chapter 4 page 24. Chapter 4 is all about Pai and her Koro Apirana. Koro Apirana does not like Moko, his name for Pai, because he thinks that she is not the chosen one to be the whale rider.

Well anyway I’m enjoying my book at the moment. The thing that I like about it that its a nice relaxing book to ready yourself for sleep. My favorite character would have to be the little girl because she speaks the truth in the story.

Whale Rider has a lot of information. I didn't know that in the book that Nana Flowers wasn't meant to marie old Koro Paka. Kore Paka was a really hater in the movie till he relies that Pia got his Whale bone from under nefe the ocean.
